Peeps

Recently we welcomed nine little gals to our yard. I just love the peeping sound these little chickens make and their bright yellow legs make me smile.

The little people refer to our new birds as the baby gals. I think that's a perfect name... and since we can't tell one from another, referring to them in general terms is going to work out best.

The variety we chose for our second generation of birds is Barred Rock. They're a known to be quite prolific, so I see a lot of eggs in our future... starting sometime in September.
