A Letter to Diane

To my Godmother, by Benett

It’s been a while since I last saw you, but I remember the time in summer when you stayed at our house. I like it when you sleep over at our house.

When I think about you, I think about the book Ferdinand that you sent to me. My favorite part of that book is the part when Ferdinand was jumping around after he got stung by the bee. Those guys were sure impressed with his jumping skills.

My mom tells me that we’re going to fly on an airplane to come and visit you sometime. I can’t wait for that. I think I’ll be excited to ride on a plane, or maybe a little scared. But probably just excited. Can I swim in your swimming pool too? I’m a good swimmer. I can’t wait to show you.

I like looking through my baby book. There are lots of pictures in it; some of my favorites are the ones from my baptism day. There were so many people who came to celebrate with me, especially you. Those pictures make me happy.

Since I don’t get to see you all of the time, I thought you might like to know some things about me. My favorite part about school is learning how to make projects. I’m good at cutting and drawing. I’m learning how to read too. I’m so excited when I read books with my mom and dad, to see words that I know. Reading makes me happy.

My favorite color is Red.
Hank is our little dog. At night he whines sometimes. He’s cute though, and he can run fast.

I’m trying wrestling this year. I like it so far. My favorite part about it is playing with my friend Eli.

Merry Christmas to you, Diane!
Hugs & A Smooch,
Benett
